Creating a Batch Activation

Batch Activations are a collection of activations that all point to the same digital experience. Marketers can use Batch Activations to attribute activation activity to specific marketing efforts.

How to Create a Batch Activation

Click the Activations Icon on the lefthand side of the Studio.

Click the green plus sign at the bottom right of the screen.

Begin filling out information for each field starting with Batch Name. The name of the entire Batch is typically the name of an event or campaign.

Under Activation Settings, add a customer short code for this batch. Enter at least three letters, no special characters, such as event.

Enter 1 as the number of activations to generate.

Toggle on " Generate these activations for a specific experience"

A new field, "Search for Experiences", will appear. Begin typing in the name of the app as it appears in the Studio. Select the app you wish to create Batch Activations for.

Add a customer short code for this batch, enter at least three letters, no special characters, such as event. .

Toggle off "Add 3 Random digits to the end of each activation for added security?".

Click Save in the top right. Studio Users will be redirected back to the Activation view.

Find the Batch Name that you just created. Click the upload download icon, symbolized by two arrows, to the right of the name.

Select "Download spreadsheet" and save it.

Open the downloaded Excel file.

In the downloaded Excel file in column A under “Label Key” enter the Text Keyword you would like to use for the activation.

In column B enter the app’s name as it appears in row one. Save the file. Be sure to not add any spaces after the Text Code Activation or App Name. Do not add any other data to the Excel sheet.

Return to the Studio tab and click Import Activation Data.

Select the updated Excel file. A summary will appear confirming the updates have been successfully added.

Once the Excel sheet has been uploaded, publish the experience. Now all of the activations are live. You can access QR Codes, Links and NFC by downloading the excel sheet.
